With spring fever on the horizon, please help us finish the year strong.
A few considerations:
If your child brings a behavior reflection sheet (called "Fix It!" sheet) home, please initiate a conversation about the behavior and send the sheet back with your signature along with the homework packet.
Homework is sent home weekly. Please help your child with it and return it on Thursday (along with any "Fix It!" sheets signed).
Toys should stay home. They have been getting in the way during learning time. (We plan on having a day to play with toys. I will let you know when that will be.)
Your child has an Istation (reading and math app) account that is available for them to use at home.
Thank you for your support!
Upcoming events:
April 18: This Wednesday from 9-3:30 a portable
planetarium (star from the Santa Fe Children’s Museum) will be set up and ready
for TISA classes at the El Camino Hotel conference room to come one at a
time for their presentation. The exact time for each grade is still to be
determined. I will keep you posted in case you’d like to join us.
April 19: As part of our Earth Day activities we have a "pack an Earth Day" lunch challenge. Can you and your child team up to create a lunch that makes no trash by packing lunch in re-usable containers and/or a compostable wrap such as wax paper bags or cloth napkin or paper towel wrapping?April 24: Pizza money due
April 26: Pizza day (the second one in April!)
April 30, 3pm: Student of the Month Celebration in the multi-purpose room. Congratulations to Khloe Martinez and Matthias Trujillo for their outstanding achievements in April. They have both exceeded their Istation reading goals!

Please note that the day will be extended to take advantage of the activities at Ghost Ranch.

There will be a checklist of items to bring sent home as the field trip date approaches.

We had a great time in the Harwood Museum this week.
Learning about Erin Currier's creative process was timely, as we are also collecting found materials to be reused. Check out our amazing collaged self-portraits below!
